Dragon Showdown at Green's Park
Now in its 2nd year, the Dragon Showdown is a Dragon Boat Race for high schoolers that takes place on Saturday, August 26th during the Dragon on the Lake festival. Sports teams, clubs, friends, more are invited to compete for the title of Dragon Showdown champs Great for team-building, team bonding and fun kick-off to the school year.

Dragon Boat Race at Green's Park:
The Race is 300 meters long and takes 2-3 minutes to complete
Each team is guaranteed at least 3 races
Each team will include 20 paddlers, 1 drummer and 1 steerer (steerer is provided by Great White North). At least 8 team members must be women.
Dragon boats, paddles and life jackets are provided.
Paddlers must be a minimum of 14 years old.
There is an optional open practice time on Saturday, August 26 from 9am - 12pm
Teams are able to set-up a 10x10 tent in Green's Park for food and beverages (no alcohol allowed)
Waivers must be signed by all participants.
Cost per team is $1150

9:30 a.m: Opening Ceremony
9:45 a.m: Races Begin
11:45 a.m: Lunch Break/Entertainment
12:15 p.m: Flower Ceremony
2:00 p.m: Championship Race (pending # of participating teams)
4:00 p.m: Closing Ceremony at Tiki Bar/Little Dragon Den
