We encourage and equip people to go into their local community, their region, and into the far reaches of our world to impact people with the love that Christ has so feely shared with us.

1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. - Charlie & The Cool Tones

Are you cool enough to come watch Charlie & The Cool Tones? They are a group of musicians whose music is as diverse as its membership. Formed in early 2015 by lifelong friends, Charlie Smith and Mark Carney who first played together in the early 70's and on and off since, when time and life would allow. The Cool reinvented themselves and their sound which evolved from several different bands and eras, most recently Tri-Polar and Charlie & the Arthritics.

Our passion for playing and sharing our music with others inspired us to form the Cool Tones.  We play a wide variety of music which draws from our broad taste of different genres, our life long experience of playing and the diversity of our membership.  The Cool Tones play a little bit of everything and hopefully something for everyone, from blues, rock, funk and even some country and jazz.

Our line up consists of Charlie Smith of Bridgeville on bass and vocals, Mark Carney of Hockessin on lead guitar, Dan Parsons of Princess Anne, MD on guitar and vocals, Ron Crews of Rehoboth Beach on drums and vocals, Jon Timko of Hockessin on keyboard and Tom Ruggeri of Beltsville, MD on Sax.  Also part of the Cool Tone Family are Mike McDowell on sax, harmonica and congas and his wife Libby on background vocals.

3:00 p.m. - 3:45 p.m. - Shane Beard

Local artist Shane Beard started singing at a very young age of 4 years old and has always had a passion for music. He moved to Seaford in 2004, when he was 11 years old. At the age of 12, he and 3 of his friends started playing in local establishments in the Seaford area and competed in the Battle of the Bands at Seaford High School. The music performed was more alternative rock, but he later switched to his passion which was country music. He likes adding his own flare to the songs, with a twist of alternative.

Shane was a runner up contestant on American Idol, which took him to New York City, as well as a couple local contests including Eastern Shore Idol and Delmarva Voice, where he competed against other very talented contestants. Shane won both of those contests which lead him to win cash prizes and local notoriety.

Over the years, Shane has made a cover CD featuring the songs of some of his favorite country artists. Shane has recently formed a band with Glenn Beard, his father; Gilberto Castrejon, a friend from school who's played music with Shane for many years; and Jeff Smith, a new member. Shane has 2 original songs which were released on all music platforms and are titled “Heavy Metal” and “Ghost”.

4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. - Shots Fired!

Closing out our festival is SHOTS FIRED, Delmarva's Ultimate 80's Tribute Band! These experienced rockers have been touring in various bands for over 30 years. SHOTS FIRED brings the attitude, energy, sounds and excitement of the 80's as they relive the MTV days with hits from bands like Ozzy, Bon Jovi, Poison and Journey.
