Arts for All News - Marimba, Rhythm and Bucket Drumming is Back!

Arts and Entertainment

August 24, 2023

Hello Arts for All community!

Marimba, Rhythm and Bucket drumming is back! This was a very successful class when we ran it last spring and by popular demand we are bringing it back for a 9-week fall session!

Regardless of what instrument your child might go on to play, this class will set them up for success by developing their skills in rhythm, percussion and musicality. Marimba is an easy to learn instrument and it is helpful in building confidence in music, as kids are able to reproduce rhythms in a short period of time. David and Arlyn Alderdice are excellent instructors, guiding kids to mastery of their instrument in a fun, comfortable and safe environment.

Here is what some parents had to say about our spring Marimba and bucket drumming class:

"My child gained confidence in her ability with rhythm. In addition to gaining rhythm, she is feeling motivated to join in more activities. She smiles and is excited to share her new knowledge. 'Mom! Mom! Come listen to what I played today!'"

"More music is so good for these children and the valley. She always enjoyed going. David and Arlyn are such great teachers!"

"This class impacted their life by being a part of a group, community and working together"
