The Board of Education of Harford County invites members of the public to participate in an upcoming public feedback session on the fiscal year 2025 (FY25) budget.

The Public Input Session is scheduled for January 18, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the board room at the A.A. Roberty Building, located at 102 S. Hickory Avenue, Bel Air. Members of the public can review the proposed budget in advance at www.hcps.org/budget. This comprehensive budget outlines strategic allocations aimed at enhancing the education experience and fostering growth within the Harford County Public Schools community, while balancing the requirements laid out by the State of Maryland’s Blueprint for Public Education, and attempting to navigate potential budget shortfalls allocated by the County Executive.

Members of the public interested in providing public input on the FY25 budget may request to do so by sending an email to [email protected], or calling 410-588-5347. Please note, if you intend to provide your comments virtually, you must pre-register by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. “Request to Appear Before the Board” cards will be available prior to the Board Input Session for in-person attendees at the Budget Input Session for sign-up and must be submitted before the opening of the meeting.

This event provides an opportunity for stakeholders, parents and guardians, educators, concerned citizens, and students to actively engage, share insights, and provide input that could directly influence the direction and priorities of the FY25 budget.
