Construction Technician

Assists in the installation and repair, replacement and maintenance of water mains, water services and fire services; digs and backfills ditches; shovels gravel and dirt; repairs streets where water lines have broken; sweeps up debris; repairs lawns; hauls gravel and pipe; manually connects piping in ditches; operates backhoes, trucks, trailers, air compressors, jackhammers, pipe wrenches, gasoline-operated ditch pumps, pipe saws, vibratory compactors and/or other equipment, tools and machinery associated with waterworks operations; performs related work as required.

Qualifications

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, must have at least two years in the repair, replacement and maintenance of water mains, water services and fire services or any equivalent combination of education and experience; a valid Arkansas Driver's License with a clean driving record. If successful applicant has a valid Class A Arkansas CDL, they will be hired in at Pay Grade 6-B ($13.80)

Special Requirements

All applicants are subject to pre-employment testing; individual in this position will be subject to random drug & alcohol testing.

DAYS & HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
