HALE CENTRE THEATRE ANNOUNCES THEIR
2023-2024 SEASON OF MUSICALS & PLAYS

Hale Centre Theatre - Arizona announces its new season lineup of plays. Known for its professional family-friendly shows consisting of Broadway musicals and comedies, Hale is lining up one of its most incredible seasons yet which will provide something for everyone. Producer David Dietlein says: “We want the guest experience to be exciting and memorable, and I think that’s what this season will bring.” The new season commences this August. Look for these shows to begin soon:

Something’s Afoot First up is a zany murder-mystery musical farce that takes a satirical poke at the works of Agatha Christie. Ten people are stranded in an isolated house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they’re picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit! This hilarious musical will run August 25th through October 7th, 2023. You don’t want to miss it!

Steel Magnolias is back by popular demand! Take a trip back to the 80’s where you get to experience the hustle and bustle of a small-town in the south. Truvy’s salon is Louisiana’s go-to for a beauty fix with a hearty side of gossip. Her small-town clients are pampered with hairdos, manicures and all kinds of unsolicited advice. Through witty banter and wisecracks, a hodgepodge group of women form friendships as strong as steel. This funny, marvelously amiable, and touching play is America at its best! Make sure to stop by and catch a performance of Steel Magnolias, playing Mondays and Tuesdays from September 19th through November 21st, 2023.

Fiddler on the Roof Winner of 9 Tony Awards, Fiddler on the Roof is one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals! This beautiful story touches the heart and funny bone as Tevye quotes “The Good Book” to his Maker and wrestles over his love for his daughters and their breaking of honored traditions. Songs such as “If I Were a Rich Man”, “Matchmaker, Matchmaker”, “Tradition”, and “Do You Love Me” will thrill and move you. Fiddler on the Roof will play Wednesdays through Saturdays, opening on October 13th and running through November 25th, 2023. Get your tickets now!

A Christmas Carol A Hale holiday classic for twenty years and counting! Our spectacular, heartwarming version of Dickens’ timeless tale of redemption is magically brought to life on our stage. Our staging faithfully brings all of Dickens’ delightful characters together to teach stingy, cantankerous Scrooge the errors of his ways. Complete with great performances, traditional carols, stunning costumes, and magical special effects. A Christmas Carol begins November 30th and concludes on December 23rd.

See How They Run Start out the New Year with this lively comedy. In a hilarious case of mistaken identity, an American actor, an escaped convict, and two extremely punctual vicars find themselves dressed as clergymen dashing about the vicarage. With the arrival of the stately Bishop, one expects the shenanigans to cease - however, the confusion only mounts until the situation snowballs into an absolute laugh riot! Come catch this show before it’s gone, opening December 29th, 2023 and playing through February 10th, 2024.

Life Could Be A Dream Take a ride back to the 60s and experience this amazing jukebox musical. You’ll be transported to Springfield High School and meet Denny and the Dreamers, a fledgling doo-wop group preparing to enter the Big Whopper Radio contest to realize their dreams of making it big time! Hear your favorites: “Fools Fall in Love”, “Tears on My Pillow”, “Runaround Sue”, “Earth Angel”, and more! Life Could Be a Dream will leave you singing and cheering! You can catch this nostalgic musical on Mondays and Tuesdays between January 16th and March 5th, 2024.

My Fair Lady opened on Broadway to rave reviews which haven’t stopped since! It is the story of Eliza Doolittle, who proves a far greater challenge to the renowned Professor Higgins than he had anticipated. You’ll thrill once again to such songs as “I’m Getting Married in the Morning,” “On the Street Where You Live,” and “I Could Have Danced All Night.” You can be swept away by this beloved musical on Wednesdays through Saturdays from February 15th to March 30th, 2024. Kiss and Tell This 1940’s romp finds Corliss Archer, a precious 16-year-old, the only person in the know about her brother’s secret marriage. When her new sister-in-law finds she is going to have a baby, Corliss accompanies her to the doctor. A nosy neighbor sees them and spreads the word that Corliss is the mother-to-be! The situation resolves in absolute hilarity! Kiss and Tell will be available on Mondays and Tuesdays from March 19th through May 21st, 2024

Titanic the Musical 5 Tony Awards! In 1912 a marvel of the modern age set sail from England to America; the largest, strongest ship in the world called - in fact - the ‘unsinkable’ ship. With a Grammy Award-nominated score and stunning emotion, Titanic tells the unforgettable tales of the real-life heroes and bold romantics on board the ship of dreams in this breathtaking musical. Titanic sets sail on April 4th and concludes its voyage on May 11th, 2024, running Wednesdays through Saturdays. We’ll see you there!

Disney’s Newsies Extra, extra! Read all about it! Based on a true story set in NYC at the turn of the century. Jack Kelly is the leader of a band of street kids who dream of a better life far from the hardship of the streets. They take on the notorious publisher, Joseph Pulitzer. This musical features catchy songs and a posse of underdogs you can’t help but root for. This story will excite audiences from NYC to Santa Fe! Newsies will run May 16th through June 29th, 2024 on Wednesdays through Saturdays. Come see what all the headlines are about!

Cinderella Hale’s 2023-2024 season concludes with the Tony Award winning Cinderella. Experience the timeless tale of a young woman, her fairy godmother, and one enchanted morning you’ll never forget! You’ll hear songs including “In My Own Little Corner”, “Impossible”, and “Ten Minutes Ago” in this hilarious and romantic theatrical experience for anyone who’s ever had a wish, a dream…or a really great pair of shoes.
