 Parks Update

Mountain Valley Park Improvements
The Parks Team has been hard at work at Mountain Valley Park, with ongoing improvements slated for the month of October! Last month, they diligently performed seal coat and striping maintenance on the parking lot to ensure its durability and protection from damage. As for this month, their focus has shifted to a tree renewal project, where old trees will be removed and replaced with fresh ones throughout the park. Additionally, brand-new turf is being installed on the T-Ball field which is scheduled to be completed in the coming weeks. While there isn't a specific finish date set, we eagerly anticipate the transformation these projects will bring to the park!

Viewpoint Park Soccer Field Lights
Construction begins today for the LED soccer field lights at Viewpoint Park. This construction project is projected to extend throughout the month of October. While construction is underway, the park and field will remain accessible to the public. The construction schedule will run from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday. There may be temporary closures during construction to facilitate the operation of heavy equipment or open trenches.
We kindly request that members of the public exercise caution around the construction crews and equipment, allowing them space to carry out the necessary work to complete this project.

Volunteer for the annual Epic Roleplay Event

The Prescott Valley Public Library and Arts & Culture will be hosting an Epic Roleplay Event for Teens on October 14th from 10AM - 9PM. There are still a few slots open for participants to register.

This year's theme is: The Witch Queen’s Curse

Camelot is under attack by the Witch Queen, Morgana Le Fey, and her enchanted fey creatures. Using her dark arts, she has performed a ritual to terrorize the common folk and enslave many of the king’s army, officials, and even Merlin himself. King Arthur is desperate and searching for brave adventurers to help save the kingdom!  Teens are invited to register for this live Epic Role-Playing Adventure game to help defeat the enchanted fey and bring peace and prosperity back to the Kingdom once again.

This event consists of a series of workshops during the day such as swordplay, how to use magic, and improv, followed by a live role-playing game in the evening. Costumes and props are provided. To register please CLICK HERE.
