MATCH MADNESS

Do you want to be a part of something special? Then don't miss Salina's favorite 24-hour giving extravaganza! It's a great day to learn about all the great work our local charities are doing right here in our community.

When you donate to your favorite charity's permanent fund on March 23, 2023, your gift will be matched (up to 50%) to make an even BIGGER impact! Thanks to some incredibly generous donors, we've got $300,000 in matching funds to share with over 80 local nonprofit organizations. Your donations will help these wonderful organizations make a difference today and long into the future.

Your St. John's Historical Museum will be participating in this fund raising event hosted by the Great Salina Community Foundation. You can donate in person OR online!   Help support the Museum, by donating to this worthy cause.

SJMS Historical Museum was saddened by the news of another Old Boy that passed away this morning.
Jack Hare, 1991, had cancer, which he fought bravely.
Jack will be missed by his many friends and family.

Toby Harris, Old Boy 1993, stated:  "My fondest memory of Jack was John (Bullard) Arnold, Jack and myself got together last summer for a fishing trip. We sat around that day telling old stories about St. John's, like all Old Boys do.  He was taken too soon."

Jack had planned on attending our reunion in May, and was looking forward to being back on campus.   He would travel down to Salina to help Kent at the Museum, stating he was only good for a little while cause his stamina was poorly.  But, he enjoyed every minute of helping out.

DAY IS DONE

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
