From: St. John’s Military School Historical Museum

Kent received a phone call  with a question, "is the Museum open on Sunday?"   OF COURSE!   We thank those that are "on call" when Kent is not on campus. i.e. Ginger Wooten, Danny Phillips, Brenda McCoy, Lance Werber, and Doug Randolph.   All of us are excited to have Old Boys and their families return, and it is our pleasure to show off your Museum.

Congratulations to Maddison and Dalton Guilfoil, Old Boy, 2011, who was married in the Chapel last month.  Best wishes to the happy couple!

We welcomed several Old Boys.  Chad Kopecky, Old Boy 1992 and Aric Inglett, Old Boy 1991 enjoyed being back and sharing the many stories.

Kyle McMillan, Old Boy 2001, who had not been on campus since he attended SJMS, enjoyed seeing the memorabilia.

Old Boy Howard Haythorn, Old Boy 1945, and friend Jim came by the Museum to visit and give Kent items he had since attending SJMS.   Howard has been most generous with his items, making sure others will enjoy them as much as he did.

Howard lives in Maxwell, NE where he watches his wild mustangs and still helps on the ranch.  A true gentleman and cowboy!

2023 Reunion Weekend is being planned.  Stay tune for date announcement!

On behalf of the Board of Directors of the St. John's Military School Historical Museum, we wish you and your families a happy Thanksgiving.   We are thankful for YOU!  AND, to put perhaps a smile on your face, a blast from the past... from the Cadets and staff of St. John's

Please remember in your prayers the family and friends of Geoffrey DeAvila, (Barton) Old Boy 1991.
He was fondly remembered by Roger Hernandez who stated, " I remember how excited he was when he learned he was going to be a dad.  He will be missed."
Friends have set up a GoFundMe account for his son.  donate

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky;
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
