Old Boys, Staff and Faculty:

Your Saint John’s Military Museum Marketing Committee has been busy re-imagining the SJMS Museum web site.   It is our objective to create a place for you to go to find connections with other Old Boys, school staff and faculty.   We have created a new Memories section under the menu heading Old Boys.  We are seeking your Memories.

We are a shared Brotherhood.  In life and in death we are uniquely Old Boys. (pictured are former Battalion Commanders who attended last year's reunion).  Our shared experiences at SJMS, whether a remembrance we find in the archives of the Museum, or from you, we can each relate.   Your memory, your story is special, and we would like for you to share those experiences, thoughts and the impact SJMS has had on your life’s journey.   Good memories warm our hearts.  Bad memories probably taught us a good life-lesson that possibly changed each of us in a good way.

What event, circumstance, person impacted or influenced you the most?  What personal habits did you develop that have stayed with you to your benefit?  How was your career choice influenced by your SJMS experience?   Was there another Old Boy, faculty or staff member whom you feel made a big difference in your life.   Breaking the rules is clearly a part of the SJMS experience…. Please share your best story.   Each of us had some of our best memories in sports and competitions…. What were your most amusing and special experiences?   The staff at SJMS, over the years, were extraordinary people.   Most could have earned more in other educational and easier (not to say we were difficult to manage) environments. Their mission was to guide and change our life’s trajectory.    Which staff /Faculty members most influenced you?

Staff and faculty are included in this request for your memories.   Your connections with Old Boys and how they impacted your life should be shared.   The Brotherhood extends to everyone connected to SJMS.   The Museum exhibits display our history.  Our Memories tell our stories…. they demand to be shared.  (pictued is Eli Harmon, Ginger Wooten, Chris Zerger and Levi Harmon, sharing laughs and memories together)

We have asked Dale Browning to share some of his memories (Novel coming out next year).   Click the link   and it will take you to our website’s Memories page where you can read Dale’s SJMS “Memory”.

Please share your memory by e-mailing [email protected]
