Place: Hawaii Convention Center

The event will feature various Japanese seafood dishes, food tasting sessions, workshops, entertainment elements such as tuna dismantling shows and musubi cooking demonstrations.

10:00am - 6:00pm: Honolulu Art Market 2024
Place: Hawaii Convention Center

The Market will feature art and items that will bring the beautiful Hawaii, including the beaches, surfing, and the ocean to peoples mind. Popular local artists including Heather Brown and Kuchar are scheduled to partake in the art market as well as new and upcoming artists.

10:00am - 6:00pm: Japan Product Bazaar ?Hawaii Sister Cities Edition
Place: Hawaii Convention Center

The Fair will present around 70 carefully selected products from six of Hawaii’s sister cities (prefectures) in Japan: Ehime, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Hokkaido, Okinawa and Yamaguchi. Products include exclusive items such as Hokkaido’s authentic butter cookies and Ehime’s Mandarin Mochi. We invite you to come and have a delightful shopping spree.

11:00: Maui Mikoshi Unveiling Ceremony
Place: Hawaii Convention Center

The Maui mikoshi contest was developed exclusively for high school students in Maui. Each year there is a competition among high schools to design a mikoshi for the Honolulu Festival. The winning Maui mikoshi is unveiled and displayed at the Hawaii Convention Center over the Festival weekend. Students selected as the overall winner visit Honolulu during the weekend of the festival and march in the Grand Parade showcasing their award winning mikoshi.

5:00pm - 5:30pm: Hitomi Shimatani Official Supporter(Rainbow EKIDEN? Inauguration Mini-Live
Place:    Hawaii Convention Center

The Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN 2024 Official Ambassador, Hitomi Shimatani is scheduled to perform the song at a special mini-live event commemorating her appointment as the official supporter on the day before the EKIDEN. The song ‘Yorihayaku! (Faster)’ which was created as a support song for runners in 2022, has been chosen as the official theme song for the 2024 Honolulu Rainbow EKIDEN!

Nagaoka Hanabi (Nagaoka Fireworks) is presented by Nagaoka Fireworks Foundation. Turn into "Hawaiian 105KINE" as they will sync their music to the firework show from 8:30pm
