First Fridays Downtown Trenton: Roots & Culture

PRESENTED BY: African American Cultural Collaborative and Partners

First Fridays are coming back stronger than ever this year! The African American Cultural Collaborative of Mercer County has announced the dates for the 2023 First Friday events, in partnership with Trenton Downtown Association, 1911 Smokehouse BBQ and the City of Trenton.

Mark your calendars now for the following Fridays: May 5, June 2, July 7, August 4, September 1 and October 6. We are also looking for vendors and performers.

Join us for a fun public art event on Trenton's amazing bike and pedestrian thoroughfare! The Artworks/Trenton Cycling Revolution Trail Jam is a rolling art party directly on the D&R Canal trail! Activities will include live mural painting, obstacle courses, sidewalk chalk, a scavenger hunt, rides, food, music and more.

Beyond the Tangible: Non-Objective Abstraction from the Collection

PRESENTED BY: NJ State Museum

LOCATION: 205 W. State St., Trenton

This is a new exhibition of 26 non-objective abstract works by 22 artists from the Fine Art collection. The exhibition can be seen in the Museum’s 2nd floor gallery and features works created by American artists since the late 1930s.
