Ann Arbor Book Festival

Our Mission:

A community-wide celebration of reading, writing, and literacy

Formed in 2003, the Ann Arbor Book Festival's mission is to promote reading, heighten awareness of literacy challenges, and showcase the rich culture of the written word in Michigan and beyond. Each year a diverse group of community leaders committed to literature, language, and the arts in Michigan plans the Festival. While the festival is located in Ann Arbor, it is regional in its scope and interest.

Our Focus:

Reading is a solitary act, but can lead to great connections to those around you. The Ann Arbor Book Festival provides a springboard to community discussions about reading and books through activities. Check out the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti Reads program, a community initiative to promote reading and civic dialogue through the shared experience of reading and discussing a common book
