Barron County Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates houses in partnership with local low-income families currently living in inadequate housing.  Partner families work side-by-side with Habitat volunteers to build their homes & then purchase them from Habitat at cost with an affordable zero-interest mortgage--a hand up, not a handout.  Mortgage payments are used to build more homes.  BCHFH has built 16 homes in Barron County to date.
