Brandywine Volunteer Fire Department

14201 Brandywine Road
301-204-6170

The Volunteer Fire Department of Brandywine was established in 1955, and has continued to provide Fire and Emergency Medical Services ever since. Our primary service area includes Brandywine, Cheltenham, and Mutual Aid to Charles County. We also respond to Baden, Clinton, Upper Marlboro, Accokeek, and farther depending on the need for fire and rescue services. Brandywine is just one of several companies that provide mutual aid to Charles County.

Our first due area has a population of approximately 12,500 citizens and growing. The Brandywine, Cheltenham and 301 corridor continue to grow at a brisk pace moving in new businesses and housing which has increased the demands for service.

Our department is part of the Maryland State Fireman's Association and the Prince Georges County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association. For the 2005 - 2006 Session of the Prince Georges County Volunteer Fire and Rescue Association our company president Ronnie "Reds" Wilkinson will serve on the Board of Directors representing the 5th District.
