Children's Literacy Center is a local non-profit organization offering free one-to-one tutoring for students (1st through 6th grade) reading below grade level. Our mission is to build a life of success through a foundation of literacy...ONE child at a time. We are able to provide free individualized tutoring for children needing assistance with their reading skills with the help of volunteers from the community. Comprehensive training on our Peak Reader curriculum is provided. After completing the training, tutors are able to target the child's specific reading needs, and work to improve his or her reading level over the course of 12 weeks (6 weeks in the summer).
