Clio Area Schools

Mission statement :

The mission of Clio Area Schools is to ensure all students learn skills needed for tomorrow's world.

We believe that all students can learn, that all students want to succeed, and that their success is judged on the basis of outcome.

Our primary function is teaching and learning. Learning is a continuous process throughout life that requires the cooperative support of students, parents, school family, and community. Learning results when people with expertise, empathy, mutual respect, and understanding work together toward common goals in an environment that is safe, supportive, and trusting.

Goals  :

Our goal is that each of our students: Make one year's gain in every academic subject every year, as measured by a nationally normed test or teacher validation. Attend at least 171 days of school. Have not more than one discipline referral per school year. Earn passing grades in every class. Add one piece of formal writing (not to include journal or diary writing) to his or her portfolio every year.
