The Mission of the Colts Neck Sports Foundation (CNSF) is to provide sports activities for the residents of Colts Neck (CN). This is done in collaboration with the Township of Colts Neck and Colts Neck Recreation Department.

Sports activities range from recreational to highly competitive travel leagues. Players have the opportunity to participate in a level that parents and league officials feel are best suited for their development and enjoyment. Sportsmanship, friendship and skill development will be stressed at all levels.

Founded in 1968 , we currently offer seasonal programs in basketball, soccer, and baseball on a recreational basis or, for those who wish to make more of a commitment, on traveling teams which compete against teams from other areas. In addition, programs are offered in wrestling and karate.

All children from kindergarten to ninth grade are eligible to participate in the recreational programs. Soccer is played in the fall, with registration the previous June. Basketball is played in the winter, with registration the previous September. Baseball and softball are played in the spring, with registration the previous December. Registration forms are available through the public schools, in the community newspapers, and on this web site (check the home page for the sport of interest).

The traveling programs have different seasons and participation is decided during open try-out sessions held at various times throughout the year. Contact the commissioner of the appropriate sport for more information.

The CNSF is wholly run by volunteers from the community. We encourage parents to get involved in the operation of the CNSF as a director or with individual programs as a league head, coach, team parent, or referee. The programs are run with funds obtained from registration fees and individual and corporate sponsors. If there is financial need, the registration fees may be waived
