The Green Oak Township Historical Society has signed a five year lease with a thirty year extension for the 1856 Historic Township Hall located at 10789 Silver Lake Road. This hall is the original township hall, build by the early pioneers. We feel that this partnership between the township and the society will be very beneficial for the residents of Green Oak. The Society will be offering public use of this historic hall as a local meeting place, which is so desperately needed by the residents of Green Oak. Along with programs, tours, displays, exhibits, a research library and research service. As funds are raised this building will be stabilized, then restored, and renovated.
