Hampstead Business Association

The mission of the Association is to educate and improve the commercial and economic environment of the Town of Hampstead and the immediate area by promoting Hampstead as a trade and market area. The Association works to support current businesses and to encourage new businesses to locate to Hampstead.

The Hampstead Business Association is a group of business owner who work to promote the Hampstead area as a good place for consumers to do business. The Association was first organized in 1982 by local merchants working to find ways to meet the needs of their customers while trying to compete with the shopping malls in Westminster. The organization has grown and now extends membership to any company doing business in the 21074 zip code area.

The Association works to make Hampstead more beautiful by planting flowers in the flowerpots and gardens at Main Street Memorial Park at an event called the Labor Day Labor of Love. Each year the Association sponsors the Hampstead Main Street Beautification Contest in which Main Street residents are encouraged to plant flowers and make their properties more attractive. The Association gives out first, second and third place prizes.

The Association has many programs that support North Carroll High School. We give a $1000 scholarship each year to a deserving senior; we support Teacher Shadow Day, Junior Achievement Training, Career Connections and other programs that help prepare students for entering the world of business.
