ISL International School of Languages (formerly, Language Fundamentals) specializes in delivering Spanish, French, English, Italian, Mandarin Chinese and Farsi in the areas or Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia. We focus on expanding the knowledge of these languages around the Washington DC Area, not only to close the existing communication gap between residents, but also to help those who have the need, will and desire to achive the ability to communicate in these languages.

We focus on the individual needs and requests of the active  learner. We deliver our students what they want by first listening to what the desired outcome is. ISL ensures that students remember what they learn so they can later use it and enjoy the personal growth it brings them!

ISL was founded in August 2006 by Marian Zapata. A native Spanish speaker from Granada, Spain. Marian is a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages.
