The Jacksonville Community Food Center is a non-profit organization serving Morgan County and other area residents during an emergency or financial crisis.  Clientele are offered a seven day supply of food items and are eligible to return one time per week for bakery items and fresh vegetables (donated by local gardeners and grocery stores) as available.  While this program is designed to be utilized during temporary emergencies, some clients often need to return to the Food Center following the mandatory two month waiting period and up to six times per year.

The Food Center depends on local churches, County relief funds, community organizations, and private donations to continue its mission.  Client referrals come from various organizations such as churches, the Salvation Army, Public Aid, and multiple other organizations that come into contact with needy area residents.

The Jacksonville Food Center is open from 9:00am to 1:00pm on Monday through Fridays.
