The Jeff Davis Business Alliance was recently formed from three independent Chambers of Commerce in the parish. The Business Alliance was formed to unite existing industry and community development efforts under one organization. The governing board has equal representation from each of the five incorporated municipalities.

There are ad hock appointments to the board which represent the Jeff Davis Parish Economic Development, the Film Commission, Jeff Davis Parish Tourist Commission, and the Jeff Davis Arts Council. The purpose of the organization is to preserve the competitive enterprise system of business and promote business and community growth and development.

Jeff Davis Parish is a quality community of 31,435 residents encompassing 658 square miles of mostly rural acreage along Interstate 10 approximately 30 miles east of Lake Charles and 35 miles west of Lafayette. The parish has an agricultural based economy with employment concentrated in two secondary sectors of the economy, retail and services. However, with major developments underway in the Lacassine Industrial Park and throughout the parish substantial economic growth is imminent.
