About Us

The Town of Kersey, Colorado is home to 1,425 people. We are located 8 miles east of Greeley on State Highway 34. The Town is responsible for water and sewer services. We also provide a library, senior center and recreation department.

The Town has a full-time police department headed by Chief Pat Carey. Chief Carey has three full-time sworn officers. The Kersey Police Department supplies 24 hour a day coverage through in service and on call status. The department is dedicated to supplying fair and non-biased service to the community. The department is involved in the “Community Policing” concept. The department does not have a designated school resource officer but does work very closely with the elementary, middle and high schools. You can reach the police department by calling 911 for EMERGENCIES ONLY. The non-emergency contact number is 970-304-6500. You may also contact the police department during regular business hours at the Town Hall.

The Town is looking forward to two subdivisions in the near future. The Berryman Farm Subdivision is currently under construction. This subdivision has both residential and mixed use commercial zoning in place. The Kohler Farm Subdivision is expected to be under construction early in 2004. This subdivision has both residential and industrial components. These two projects will increase our tax base and encourage future complementary development.
