Mission

The mission of the City of Leavenworth Convention & Visitors Bureau is to attract visitors, group tours and meeting and convention business to the Leavenworth community.

Leavenworth, founded in 1854, is the "First City of Kansas" and Fort Leavenworth is known as the "Intellectual Center of the Army" and is the oldest military fort in continuous use west of the Appalachian Mountains.

Leavenworth and Fort Leavenworth offer many historical attractions for all ages, such as the C.W. Parker Carousel Museum, the vintage Carroll Mansion, an African-American history museum known as the Richard Allen Cultural Center, the Frontier Army Museum, the nationally-recognized Buffalo Soldier Monument and more.

Our office hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. We are closed on major federal holidays.
