Church groups and organizations have always been an important part of the church.

The Women began their work in 1916 by forming the organizations known as the Women's Foreign Missions and Ladies Aid. The names have undergone many changes over the years but the Purpose has remained the same with the dedication of the members. In 1940 the organization had 76 members. The organization was then known as Women's Society of Christian Service (W.S.C.S.). The name was changed again in 1973 to United Methodist Women. In 2003, the UMW started their night meetings to increase membership. They meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. They carry on the mission work of the members that went before them. They share prayer time, studies, fellowship and good food.

The Men's Breakfast has been a popular time for men of the church to get together monthly to share not only good food but fellowship and concerns.

Kids for Christ was organized under the leadership of Pat Enos. Women assisting Pat were Rita Wilson, Jill Cross and Nellie Schnitker. This program was opened to all children of the community and meets on Wednesday afternoons after school at the Lewis Church. They share Bible stories, memorization, snacks, singing, crafts and mission projects. The women of the community and the Pastor help with this endeavor. Velda Updegrove replaced Pat Enos and has done a great job to carry on this project. It has been so successful to help children learn about God and Jesus.

In March, 2002, Friends for Christ was started under the leadership of Kathy Lindberg. It is shared by members of the church and the Pastor. It is a support and prayer group seeking God's guidance to fulfill people's needs through prayer and action.

Bible studies are held throughout the year. Sunday School classes are held each Sunday folloing the church service. The adult Seekers Sunday School Class has been very active and a Young Adult Class was started in 2004. The Lewis and Kinsley Youth meet as a combined group each Sunday evening.
