About Us:

The Lowell Area School district is located approximately 18 miles east of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and covers nearly 130 square miles. It offers a small-town atmosphere with the availability of a major urban city nearby. The school district has an enrollment of approximately 3,700 students. The district experiences one of the lowest "drop-out" rates in the state of Michigan, and is growing at the rate of about 75 new students each year.

The district focuses on the belief that every child can learn and proudly offers a comprehensive, visionary curriculum with coordinated, sequential outcomes, goals, and objectives, K through 12. It encourages youth to become lifelong learners, proficient in the process of seeking and applying knowledge, from kindergarten through adult and community education. To this end, it is dedicated to a "Triple A" educational rating: Academics for the Mind, Athletics for the Body, and Arts for the Spirit.

Each Lowell Area Schools building handles its own enrollment of new students. To attend school in Lowell, a student must reside with a parent or legal guardian who lives within the district.
