The Nordic Fire Festival is a new take on an old favorite. This event previously known as Swedish Fire Festival is an event that Barren Ridge Vineyards hosts during the winter (generally in late January or early February) to celebrate an otherwise dark time of the year. Inspired by the traditional midwinter festivals of Europe, our Fire Festival will feature Nordic inspired hors d'oeuvres, live music, a Swiss alphorn performance, melted Raclette cheese, warm and spicy mulled wine, and the lighting of fire torches along the vineyard’s driveway.
