Private Nicholas Minue School, is named for a World War II Congressional Medal recipient, serves approximately 680 students in grades pre-kindergarten through grade five. At Minue School we believe that a superior educational program is built on a sound foundation of high academic expectations, innovative and research based instructional practices, positive behavioral/social interactions, and extensive parental involvement. This type of learning environment stimulates growth in all avenues of academic, social, and emotional development.

Minue School offers a comprehensive core curriculum including a balanced “Open Court” literacy program in Language Arts, as well a new “Everyday Mathematics” program. Science, Social Studies, World Language, Computer Technology, Health and Physical Education are all integrated through the curriculum.

Minue School offers additional student services such as Resource Replacement Classrooms, In-Class Support, Speech, Occupational and Physical Therapy, Academic Enrichment, Bilingual and ESL education, Guidance, Intervention and Referral, a Reading Specialist and a Gifted and Talented Program. Strong Art, Instrumental and Vocal Music programs are offered to the students with performance opportunities and an art show at the end of the year.

A collaborative bond has been established between home and school by parents, teachers, and administrators working together. Parents are viewed as our partners in education, and we encourage a consistent, supportive, and positive relationship to promote and facilitate student achievement. Our PTO is a highly active and positive component of Minue School. It is through their hard work and dedication to the children that many cultural and special programs take place in our school throughout the year.
