Radical Roots Community Farm

3083 Flook Lane
540-810-2587

Radical Roots Community Farm is catalyzing positive change by growing high quality, ecologically grown vegetables, educating about sustainable agriculture and living this example.

Radical Roots Community Farm produces high quality, ecologically grown vegetables in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. We use sustainable methods of farming such as cover cropping, crop rotation, attracting beneficial insects and applying compost. Without the use of synthetic chemicals, herbicides and pesticides, we rely on hand labor and natural cycles for the healthiest soil and vegetables

We have a 100 member CSA in both Harrisonburg and Charlottesville and sell at the Harrisonburg(Saturday) and Charlottesville markets(Wednesday and Saturday).

Radical Roots CSA cultivates and nurtures a beneficial partnership among farmers, community members and the land. CSA members join our farm in a mutual commitment for the season: Farmers produce nutritious, organic food while the members share in the risks and benefits of the harvest. When joining Radical Roots CSA, you purchase a share of the harvest before the growing season begins. Your investment helps to cover the up-front operating costs and in return you receive all the bounty of the harvest. Our basket offers a wide variety with 8- 12 items each week. We grow over 25 different crops with great salad greens, herbs, cooking greens, onion, tomatoes, squash and of course Roots!
