Lancaster Farm Fresh CSA supports 50 farmers in the Amish and Mennonite communities of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The vegetales delivered ithrough the CSA program are certified organic. with the exception of about 5% of vegetables, which are grown on lands transitioning from conventional to organic farming practices.

Lancaster Farm Fresh CSA shares include 6 to 10 varieties of vegetables delivered weekly in a full share and every other week in a half share. A weekly newsletter, including news from the farms; a share content list and recipes, is emailed to shareholders. An on-line special order pricelist is distributed weekly for members to purchase meat, poultry, dairy and other locally produced items, that will be delivered with their vegetable shares.

Scarecrow Hill is a member of Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative, distributing farm products to wholesale and CSA customers in Lancaster, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC, metropolitan areas. The Cooperative, in its third year of operation, joins the efforts of Amish and Mennonite farmers in Lancaster County to provide a large variety of fresh organic fruit and vegetables; raw milk and pasteurized dairy products; pastured buffalo and bison meat; pastured and organic poultry and eggs; in addition to value added farm products. Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative provides its customers with a great variety of products, better delivery and customer service at a lower price than one farm, because the farmers share in marketing, distribution, labor and transportation costs.
