Our Mission

The Stasburg Chamber of Commerce is a federally-recognized 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization and its mission is "To enhance the economic vitality and the quality of life for businesses and citizens of the Strasburg area by providing vision, leadership, information, and services".

The Strasburg Chamber of Commerce is membership organization of area business, industrial, professional firms and interested individuals who work together to enhance the economic and socio-enconomic health of the surrounding area. The Strasburg Chamber of Commerce was first founded and organized in 1952 for the purpose of advancing the agricultural, civic, commercial, educational, industrial, and general interest of the Town of Strasburg and Shenandoah County and was subsequently reorganized in 2000 with the involvement of community businesses. The Chambers Board consists of President, Vice President, Treasurer, Executive Director, and 13 At Large Directors

The Chamber's mission is to promote a favorable business climate for our membership and community, to work on issues of community interest. We do this by:

- Serving as a focal point for business and local information and promtional development 

- Provide information about upcoming member events, meetings, and other activities 

- Provide Chamber sponsored Grand Openings and Ribbon Cutting to new businesses 

- Provide information assistance to visitors via email, phone and in person 

- Provide an annual Membership Directory 

- Hold periodic Business 2 Business (B2B) networking events 

- Provide representation at Strasburg Ton Council and other organizational meetings 

- Organize and produce Chamber sponsored events. (Mayfest, Oktoberfest, etc.) 

- Award an Annual Scholarship to a deserving Strasburg High School Senior 

- Provide office space for Members (WiFi, etc.) and Member promotional material
