Temple Har Zion

High & Ridgway Streets

Temple Har Zion, an egalitarian Renewal-oriented congregation in the Conservative tradition, seeks to provide a wellspring of Jewish spirituality, learning, and healing that nurtures an intimate connection with community and God.

The synagogue was founded 70 years ago and currently has close to 150 families. Shabbat services are Friday evenings at 8 p.m., and Saturday mornings at 9:30 a.m. Junior congregation services are available. During the school year, one Friday night service each month is entirely led by Hebrew School students. Morning services in the Kabalistic Four-World tradition.

Temple Har Zion has an active Sisterhood, Men’s Club, and parent-teacher council. We feature a Jewish Renewal Shabbat one Friday night and one Saturday morning each month. The Saturday Renewal service and the Shabbat Mevorachim service are followed by a free brunch. The synagogue sponsors many events throughout the year, including Break-the-Fast after Yom Kippor, a unique Simchat Torah celebration, Hanukah concert, Tu B’Shevat and second night of Passover Seders, quarterly healing services, and Havdallah Social nights.

We are a regional congregation, drawing from many areas in Camden and Burlington counties and beyond. Our practice of offering both traditional services and Renewal-style services in-the-round offers congregants the possibility of worshipping in ways that best meet their religious and spiritual needs.
