The CALL in Johnson County

The CALL in Johnson County, is a local faith based non-profit, partnering with the State of Arkansas’ Division of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to recruit train and support local foster and adoptive families.  The CALL is primarily a volunteer organization.  We’ve had a presence in Johnson County for several years, but with the increase in the number of children coming into care and the lack of homes, we feel it is time to create a more visible presence in the community to educate the citizens on the foster care crisis.

With over 800 children currently in care in the River Valley, The CALL’s vision of ‘no waiting children’ may seem a stretch but with community support and tireless work from volunteers and staff they believe it can be a reality. Currently Johnson County has 6 open homes and 46 children in foster care. We do not want to recruit more families faster, but to empower better families longer.

Our Mission: To educate, equip and encourage the Christian community to provide a future and a hope to children in foster care in Arkansas.
