Town Of Myersville

301 Main Street
301-293-4281

Myersville, MD was incorporated by an Act of the Maryland Legislature on March of 1904. At the time of incorporation it had a population of 150 and was a busy, self sufficient community with stores, warehouses, craftsmen, physicians and not one but two banks. The incorporation of the town came just a few years after the incorporation of the Myersville and Catoctin Railway Company in 1898. This brought the railway to Myersville and the history of Myersville in the first half of the twentieth century is intertwined with that of the Trolley and its extension to Myersville.

From 1904 to the present time Myersville has grown to a community of more then 1,700. The physical boundaries have grown to more then double its original size. It continues to be a vibrant and growing community.
