The word CIVITAN comes from the Latin word "CIVITAS", which means  CITIZENSHIP. 

The Twin Lakes Civitan Club is located in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Nestled in the beautiful Ozark Mountains of Arkansas we are one of the  best vacation and retirement spots in the country encompassing two massive lakes, three rivers, and the most beautiful mountain scenery you'll ever find. 

Our club was Chartered in July 2011 and our  mission is to provide networking, fellowship, community involvement, personal development and community service, emphasizing  assistance to  persons with developmental  disabilities. 

Civitans are everyday citizens, just like you and me, who come together in communities throughout the world to make life better for their neighbors. Civitan International comprises member clubs across the United States and  in 24 countries, all working to assist those affected by mental challenges and developmental disabilities through direct financial support and hands on projects.
