About Us:

We are a PreK-12 public school district, established in 1942, now serving over 11,000 students in Waterford Township, Independence, White Lake, West Bloomfield, and the City of Lake Angelus. The education of our students is our primary focus. We guarantee to all students the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to become effective citizens of the world. Our students are successful because parents, staff, and the community share high expectations for quality instruction and successful student learning. We stress quality. Our students and staff are challenged to excel. Waterford students annually represent high achievement in academics, athletics, career and technical education, and performing arts.

Located in the geographic center of Oakland County, Waterford Township is known as the Lakeland Paradise, encompassing 42 square miles. In addition to local shopping and entertainment, Waterford enjoys a centralized location that offers easy access to many attractions. Encompassing 34 lakes, living in Waterford means enjoying the outdoors. Golf courses, tennis clubs, ski areas, a wave pool, and two skate parks serve the immediate area.
